Works operators are members of Council's Outdoor staff. Prepare and pour various concrete projects (paths, drains, headwalls etc) Drive various vehicles including: rollers, truck, tractor, backhoe and loader Lay pipes for stormwater drainage Various construction related tasks Install Traffic signs Pot-hole patching Various other outdoor roles and duties as required. Council offers a great working environment, employment conditions and job security. Works Operators work; a 38-hour work week, over 4 days (Monday to Thursday) from 6:30am to 4:30pm. That is a long weekend every week to get more things done at home and spend with the family. Interested? Maintenance works In addition to the above mentioned capital projects, staff over the last month have undertaken pothole patching on the following roads: Panuara Road, Garland Road, Belubula Way. Tallwood Road, Browns Creek Road, Forest Reets Road, Hobbys Yards Road, Neville Road, Guyong Road, Vittoria Road, Hillside Lane, Charles Booth Way, Nyes Gates Road, Spring Terrace Road, Matthews Road, Carcoar Dam Road. Maintenance grading has been undertaken on the following roads: Hilltop Lane, Matthews Lane, Davis Road, Rosedale Road, Ewins Lane, Winterbottoms Lane. Snake Creek Road. Sculptures by the Bush Blayney Council News It's that time of year, Sculptures by the Bush is on again for 20241 Start brainstorming now for what you can bring to the table, unleash your creativity, have Community to Operational Land. The exhibition period ended on a blast, and stand a chance to snag some cash prizes. Registrations are currently open and will be closing on Wednesday 3 April, so you've got ample time to strategize! There are three exciting categories to participate inc Hay Bale Art Challenge: Showcase your talent by crafting sculptures primarily from hay, complemented with a mix of artistic materials like paint, cardboard, fabric, wood, and upcycled items. Previous entries have spanned from grand artworks with multiple hay bales to simpler creations using just one or two bales. Farm Art Challenge: Let your imagination run wild as you create sculptures or artworks using any farm-related resources other than hay bales. Think corrugated iron, wire, wood, old machinery, and more. The possibilities are endless! Scarecrow Challenge: Put together your most imaginative scarecrow or a set of themed scarecrows, tailor-made for urban dwellers with limited space.
