A Conversation with the GM Mark Dicker Blayney Shire Council Youth Week 2024 Youth Week 2024 starts this week with the theme Express. Empower. Get loud! and is aimed at youth aged 12-24 with a number of FREE activities being held across the Shire. A key activity I wish to highlight is the free teen gym' classes being provided by the Y at CentrePoint, with 3 sessions on Wednesday afternoon at 4pm, 5pm and 6pm. The gym can be an intimidating and scary place when you don't know what to do. These classes provide direct guidance and mentoring to our youth to enable them to confidently and safely use the various items of equipment in the gym. This year both EmDance in Blayney and Le Danse school in Lyndhurst are doing a variety of free dance classes and a disco night! Youth Week funding from Department of Communities and Justice also paid an additional $824 rural/regional subsidy not required to be matched. Express Empower Get loud!
