A Conversation with the GM Mark Dicker Blayney Shire Council How do you receive your rates notice? Did you know you can receive your rates notice by email (through eNotices) instead of by traditional mail (via Australia Post)? Council has approximately 4,000 ratepayers throughout the shire, who all receive at least one rates notice (some receive four if paying quarterly). Email is fast becoming the most reliable and popular option, with over 53% of Blayney Shire ratepayers now receiving their rate notices via email. It will cost Council approximately $20k in 2024/25 to distribute rates notice to the 47% that still opt for a traditional notice. That is a lot of money which will continue to increase as printing and postage fees increase annually. We need your help before we send out the 2024/25 notices (in August) so we can reduce our expenditure significantly. The more people that sign up to receive their rates notice via email the bigger the efficiency we will gain. In addition to reducing Council's expenditure there are many benefits to you if you receive your rates notice via email, including: Paper free resulting in a positive environmental benefit Hassle free copy direct to your inbox Easier to track, manage, find and share with others Access to up to 5 years of notices online For b Easier to pay : it is easier to reconcile Significantly quicker than traditional mail fast year it took 3 weeks for our rates notices to get from the printer to the letterbox) Please visit Councils website or scan the QR code below to sign up to receive your 2024/25 rates notice via email: https://www.blayney.nsw.gov.au/your-place/rates-and-payments/receive-rates-via-email Come and work with Council Do you have experience inc general construction activities, driving trucks or operating machinery and hold a current driver's licence?
